Welcome!

On this web site you will find information regarding my 2008 re-election campaign as well as useful information about Ward 5, the ward I have served and represented for years. Ward 5 stretches from downtown west to the Verdi area, and includes University of Nevada, McQueen High School, Wingfield Park, and the majority of downtown casinos.

I built this site primarily as an communication tool; to gauge the vibe of the residents in Ward 5, to learn on an ongoing basis what issues are important to Ward 5 residents and to foster an open-door policy with my contituents. I invite you to browse my site, participate, and leave feedback on issues that matter to you.

Is Flying J done?

I have just been told (5:08pm) by the Reno City Clerk’s office that Flying J did NOT file an appeal regarding their denial by the Planning Commission on June 18th. According to that office they only had until 5:00pm today. So, as of now, and before the attorneys look at it, I am under the belief that the issue has died and will NOT come before the full Council. If this changes I will send you all another e-mail.

Thank you all for your e-mails and your efforts in working to keep your neighborhood the way you want it to be. A special thanks goes to the Neighborhood Advisory Board.
